In the heart of the Huila region, the small farm Finca La Piragua, run by Alexander Vargas, is located. It is here, at an altitude of 1,898 meters above sea level, that the Pink Bourbon, one of the most fascinating Arabica varieties, ripens. Thanks to the high altitude and the meticulous work of the producer, the beans develop exceptional aromatic complexity and a distinctive, elegant sweetness.
The coffee has undergone a classic washed process, which fully highlights the purity and clarity of its flavor profile. In the cup, a distinct, floral aroma reminiscent of orange blossom emerges, accompanied by juicy notes of tropical fruit and a soft, honeyed sweetness. The overall flavor is harmonious, light, and very transparent—exactly what you'd expect from Colombian high-altitude coffees from the Huila region.
This coffee perfectly showcases the potential of the Pink Bourbon variety – elegant, aromatic, and incredibly pleasant. It performs best in pour-over brewing, where its floral, fruity character and natural sweetness can fully unfold.

How to do it?
- Within 30 days of receiving your order, send us a message at sklep@lacava.pl with the following information: order number, returned items, pickup address and preferred pickup date, reason for return (optional)
- We will send you a DPD courier waybill, which will collect the returned, packed items, and then you will receive a refund of the costs incurred within 14 days of us receiving the package.
- You can of course bring the returned items to our coffee roastery
- Returns are free of charge, unless you do not want to use our DPD courier, in which case you must send the parcel yourself
- you can return all products as long as they are unused and the packaging is open

All shipments are sent via DHL courier. Orders placed before 12:00 PM will be processed the same business day and will be shipped the next business day.

Showcasing the potential of Pink Bourbon
Growers value Pink Bourbon primarily for its extraordinary sensory potential. The beans of this variety often offer exceptional profile clarity, high sweetness, and a distinct, elegant acidity. The cup frequently features floral, citrus, and tropical notes, as well as a delicate honey sweetness. As a result, Pink Bourbon regularly appears in coffees that achieve very high scores in cuppings and quality competitions.

How to brew?

1. WEIGHT
We recommend using 18.5 grams of coffee per 300 grams of water. This will result in a juicy brew with a pleasant body.
2. GRIND
Select the grind size so that the brewing time is around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
3. BREW
We recommend distributing water at 94˚C in 6 portions of 50 grams. After a 30-second pre-infusion, add water every 15 seconds.
4. WATCH
If the brewing time differs from the recommended time, or the flavor isn't to your liking, adjust the grinder settings next time you make your coffee. Let your taste and preferences guide you!
